Garcelle Beauvais is no longer content to hold diamonds, she actually designs jewelry.
The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star, 54, launched a collaboration with Roni Blanshay this week, inspired by her “modern, chic and chic” personal style.
“It’s so organic to me. I love jewelry,” Beauvais told Page Six Style in a recent interview, crediting her mom for instilling her attraction to all things glittery.
“The first thing she put on was jewelry and the last thing she took off was jewelry,” she explained.
“And I think these days, especially since we’ve been dealing with COVID, putting on something that makes you feel good – whether you’re going to the store, picking up the kids or meeting friends, socially distant – you can always put something on. thing that makes you happy.
While her Garcelle x Roni Blanshay collection has just been launched online at GarcellexRB.comBeauvais’ “RHOBH” castmates and “The Real” co-hosts will get their hands on the pieces first.
“They all get gifts. Absoutely. Even the ones I don’t like so much,” she laughed. “No, just kidding, just kidding! »
Beauvais told us she was heavily involved in the design process — she wouldn’t slap her name on anything that wasn’t of the best quality — and enjoyed every minute of it.
“Fashion is above all about having fun, isn’t it? ” she said. “It can lift your mood. It can set the tone for how you want to walk into a room. I think that’s what fashion is for. And accessories! We play dress up and have different personalities.
When it comes to “Housewives”, however, these personalities can sometimes merge; while Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne matched in pink blazer and pajama dresses last year, Beauvais teased that Rinna will end up pairing up with Kyle Richards this season.
“We pretty much all do our shopping in the same place!” she joked.
Unfortunately, fans won’t see footage of Beauvais designing the jewelry for season 11 of the show, which airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
“Because of COVID, we couldn’t do a lot of things. I mean, the fact that we shot the season during COVID, in quarantine – and even [with] some of the girls who got COVID — were really quite delicate,” she explained.
“So, no, you won’t see the collection on the show. But, you know, I’m excited for the world to see it. I think a lot of women are going to really love it and be inspired by it.
