Karrueche Tran is on his grind and I’m not crazy! The model and actress has been pretty low-key since the Covid-19 shutdown earlier this year. She used her social media platform to advocate for the rights of black lives around the world, and she also gave us insight into her day-to-day activities through her online show, stir it up. Now that the year is coming to an end, the pint-sized cutie has started a new project that will have you grabbing your Cross Colors bucket hat and dusting off your 54 11s.

On Saturday November 14, Karrueche will launch the Gold Mine collection of its new brand Kae by Karrueche. The jewelry line is inspired by the vibe of the 90s in Los Angeles. Chunky gold chains, door knocker earrings and small seashell hoops are the look and feel of this vintage accessory collection. The Gold Mine collection images were captured by legendary Estevan Oriol, a Los Angeles photographer known for capturing the essence of Hip Hop culture in the 90s.

Details of Karrueche’s Kae have not been made public. For now, the Gold Mine collection is the first set of products to be released. It’s unclear whether the brand will include apparel, footwear, accessories, or just jewelry. In any case, the collection does not look bad at all! It reminds me of those summer days in Brooklyn where I slicked my hair up in a bun with a side parting, put on black lip liner and iridescent lip gloss, grabbed my earrings and went out to play doubles Dutch. Nostalgia at its best.
